Daniel
R. Hanley, BA
Fordham University; After a distinguished academic career, Mr. Hanley worked in the personal planning investment management field for such firms as Mellon Bank, Merrill Lynch and E.F. Hutton before going on his own as an independent financial advisor in 1989. "While health insurance consulting and sales has always been an important component of personal financial planning," states Mr. Hanley, "it has never been as difficult, cumbersome, and expensive for individuals as it has been over the past five years." In fact, Mr. Hanley spends 100% of his personal financial planning time in health insurance research and sales that he has no time to spend in other planning areas. He particularly enjoys the very personal nature of the business. "I’ve always wanted to find a business in which I could be helpful to people and make a humane impact. From an outsider’s viewpoint, the health insurance business is quite cruel. However, it’s my mission to play a part in elucidation, education and general caring, until such time as a more productive and workable health delivery system is put in place". |
